Currently Watching
House, M.D. - Season Two
By Hugh Laurie, Lisa Edelstein, Omar Epps, Robert Sean Leonard, Jennifer Morrison (II), Jesse Spencer

It all started at a lake house in New Hampshire on Saturday night.  We were grilling when I was bitten by an insect.  Sunday morning, I woke up with a large bump on my neck from the bite.  The bump gradually grew in size and in redness until Tuesday night , when I nicked it while shaving.  Blood, pus, and some green stuff came out, I cleaned it, and I put a bandaid on it.  Wednesday morning, the bump had grown again and was more painful and red than before.  Things worsened over the course of the day, and at 9 PM, I went over to MIT Medical.  I waited for an hour to be seen and then the doctor examined my neck, and then sent me over to MGH (Mass. General Hospital) to get a second opinion.  So MIT Med called a cab for me and I arrived at MGH at 10:30.  It was 12:30 before a doctor saw me.  This doctor was in his residency, so he got the attending doctor to come look at me as well.  They decided to give me a CT scan and some IV antibiotics for the infection.  They decided at 2 AM to keep me overnight, at which point it would've been nice to get a bed.  Instead, I waited until 5AM for a bed.  The doctor woke me up at 8:30 to cut my neck open and drain the infection... not a pleasant experience.  I then had to sit through two more rounds of antibiotics spaced 6 hours apart and didn't get to leave until 4:30 PM.  And that's my fun story of the week.

In other news, I'm going to be in Ohio next weekend, which I'm told is homecoming.  It would make sense that some of you might come home for homecoming, so if you're one of those people, let me know and we can chill.  Aside from going to the game on Friday and watching the OSU game on Saturday, I'm free all weekend (through Tuesday), so give me a call or something.

<3,
Me

PS - Bagel + Crunchy Peanut Butter = AMAZING
PPS - I guess I forgot to tell you how the story ends... I'm fine now... no pain or anything, just a huge bandage

So... it's been a while...

Life is good.  I have class from 9-2 Mondays, 9-12:30 every other day, so I like my schedule.  Classes aren't hard yet, so I end up with quite a bit of spare time.  In that time, I've watched both seasons of The Office and have made a solid start on the first season of House.  That's since Sunday, by the way.

I like having a single, in case I haven't said that already.  The a cappella is going swimmingly.  Sadly enough, there's really not anything all that exciting going on in my life right now... just waiting for the point where classes get hard and crap hits the fan.

Hope you're all having fun at school or doing whatever you're doing.

Stay classy, San Diego
